ABOUT ME
The goal of my work is to bring my inner landscapes into form. I use color and movement to get in touch with my more reverent, wordless nature.
I think the most moving artwork communicates on a deeper level, externalizing the inner world of the artist in a form that moves beyond pretense, social norms, even personality.
To me the visual arts are a more native form of communication. I always have a reference point but interpretation is up to the viewer. I hope people feel my paintings, not just see them.
I studied fine art at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and have worked in design for the past twenty or so years. Recently I’ve been indulging my true passion, making oil paintings.
During college I had the opportunity to live in Paris and study art with a group of other art students. The art I experienced there changed me forever and a piece of my soul still remains among the cobblestones.
